Wilma Alba Cal

Wilma Alba Cal is a composer and professor graduated at the Instituto Superior de Arte. Scholar at the Academy of Music and Drama of the University of Goteborg, Sweden. She has a Diploma in Creación Sonora con Nuevas Tecnologías of the Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras (CMMAS). Her catalog includes chamber music, choir, orchestral, electroacustic music and sound tracks for theatre and audiovisual. She has participated in festivals in Cuba, Sweden, Colombia, Puerto Rico, USA and Mexico. Her pieces have been included on the CD El canto quiere ser luz (Echo Klassik Prize of the German Phonographic Academy in 2012) of the Coro Nacional de Cuba, Cantos de Cuba y del Mundo of Ensemble Vocal Luna and Transfiguraciones recorded by Producciones Colibrí.
